But after awhile I, of course, got jealous and decided to see what I could do. I dragged out the Halloween crate which mostly has plastic pumpkin trick-or-treat buckets and crossed my fingers.
A little shopping the house plus a very modest trip to Pier One for some clearance fall foliage and away we go! Oh! And some dollar store crows. Love those.
This is my favorite, uh, is it stretching to call it a tablescape, because I had the clever idea to use books with spooky titles and, you know, float plastic skulls in the apothecary. Fine decorating yes indeedy! Plus the Jesus picture. I know.
I saw pillows covered in sweater fabric in Pottery Barn so I asked the girls if they had any sweaters they didn't want anymore and voila! Yes, I am so clever. Riley had eaten parts of these pillows during one of his Doggie Mr. Hyde moments so it was nice to recover them anyway.
Beautiful! I love, love, love it all! The pillow-sweater idea is awesome. I think I'll have to try that. Oh, wait. That would mean I would have to know how to use my sewing machine. Dang.
ReplyDeleteHi Shelley, Thanks for stopping by to visit earlier. Glad you like the leaf balls that I made.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing what you did with those pillows covered with sweaters! That is really clever. Too funny how your got "jealous" and decided to find some goodies to decorate your home for fall... If you saw my previous post, you'll know that I have a definite thing for my favorite season of the year! I picked up some $ crows at the Dollar Tree. I really like that amber colored vase you have. Is that eucalyptus in there?
Hope you'll be back to visit again, sometime.
:-) Sue
Ahhh. Love seeing all those highly polished silver items on the table ... even though tarnished silver probably would have gone better with the Fall theme. Love you, Mom
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh! Yes. You are coming over to help me. Just ignore the couch covered with laundry. It's all clean, so, um, not gross?
ReplyDeleteI want my home to be as pretty as yours.
And I'm kicking myself for not getting some of those crows.
Pretty! Looks so nice. Love your new page too. Meant to send you a text to say hello when I saw a few of your crew last night.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed looking around your blog! What great ideas!!
